Created as part of a growing independent publishing universe, Velvet Ink expands the conversation beyond fashion, nightlife, and contemporary culture into something more intimate: the mark, the memory, and the presence carried on skin.

The First Issue

The debut issue places deliberate emphasis on female presence, exploring strength, vulnerability, sensuality, and aesthetic authority through contemporary portraiture. It is a study of women who carry their stories visibly, quietly, and without apology.

Alongside this focus, a distinct male presence is woven throughout the issue with intention and balance. These features add contrast, softness, structure, and nuance to the magazine’s visual language.
